3 in a row!! Thrashers win!

Thrashers have been rolling along at a nice little clip. We battled back fack from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Leafs. We DESTROYED Nashville. Tonight it was time for a test, the Montreal Canadiens. *said in a snooty fake French accent*

For this game, I had signs Congratulating Bogo for scoring his first NHL goal scored in the Nashville game

And one that pretty much says "Canadiens fans are cheaters." This sign was like reading "War and Peace." It's a bit wordy, but totally worth it. I saw Kovy reading it. Kari reads all of my signs.

Wonder twin powers ACTIVATE! Here is our dynamic duo of late, Ilya Kovalchuk and Rich Peverley. They've had fantastic chemistry lately and really been lighting up the score board. Kovy, Rich and Army make up the AK-47 line, Atlanta's deadliest weapon.

Kari was FINtastic! He made 32 saves and was the 1st star of the game.

It's Bobo time! Time for everyone's favorite hot 6'7'' Slovak.
Awwww, a smiling Bobo.

Ron Hainsey looking really young for some reason. I think he got another hair cut.

Nathan Oystrick who has been a healthy scratch for the past 3 games. I miss my Oysters!

"Hi I'm Bogo and I made you some lemonade. Let me go put these clothes in the laundry and I'll be right out. Did you bring the beer?"
Then Chris Hanson jumps out and says he's with Date Line.
No worries! This hottie is 18 and has been since last summer. You might feel guilty, but you won't go to jail. Cougars unite!

Obligatory Moose shot. Best obligatory Moose shot EVER! A happy smiling Moose. I love it :)

On to the action! I've been trying to take more good action shots. I know I have a lot of equipment and distance limitations. My main problem though is remembering to get the camera up and ready because I'm watching the game!

Halak getting ready for action

Action in the Canadien zone. We had an amazing first period and really kept the pressure on.

Halak making a save.

The score was soon 3 - 0 Thrashers and we chased Halak out of the net.
Welcome to the game, Carey Price!

Kari watching the melee going on behind his net. Boris does not agree with the boarding call he got.

Price locking it down.

Kari during a stoppage of play. He came over to hose his eyes down as usual. I love the way his hair is sticking up all crazy in the back.

Carey making some fantastical save.

Holy Crap...Thrashers win!!!!

So last night the Maple Leafs blew into town. Any time we play the Maple Leafs, I have to watch this video at least a few times. "Die Maple Leafs. I am going to kill you." "You are the worst Leafs on earth." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4ghL3yWD-I

Word was out that my Moose was going to be in net! It was time to bring out the Moose sign!

I know that Moose has been worried about me paying so much attention to Boris lately. I knew I had go give him my full support that night!

Warm ups seemed to be going well. Moose was smiling. He must have been pleased that I was dedicating my attention to him. Yes, that must be it.

Unfortunately it was not Moose's night :( He let in 3 goals on 8 shots and was pulled after the first period. Johan Hedberg is the biggest team player in the locker room. He's won the player's award 2 years in a row. He is always willing to do what is best for the team, so I am sure that he knew it was best he get pulled. I still believe in Moose and will always be proud to rock the Jersey and bring the sign. Mooooooooooooooose.

Speaking of the big Fin...he was jealous of Moose's sign. I know I make a lot of delusional jokes on here, but I swear he was jealous. He checked out my sign several times. I swear he seemed a bit miffed by it. He finally got to wear his new mask in a game so I can post pictures. Apparently he is superstitious and won't publish pics of the mask before he wears it in a game. That's our Kari! He puts the Fin in finicky.

Baby Bogo, Zach Bogosian.

Ron Hainsey, doing what he does best...looking hot

Ron Hainsey and Nathan Oystrick

Without further adue....the Bobo Show

"Oh Lord, is this lady ever gonna stop taking pictures of me??"

Looks like he is adjusting his pads. "Sweety, do you need some help with that?"

Joey Crabb and Boris. And then, moving faster than the speed of light behind them, Bryan Little.

Super star stud and new Thrasher, Rich Perverley. Some think he's the second coming. I don't. But he and Kovy do have chemistry. He's fast, he can shoot and feed Ilya the puck. He had an assist in the game and scored the game winning goal in OT. He might not be the second coming, but we are glad he came and are DELIGHTED to have him.

Center Ice, Toskala is skating and warming up
At the other end of the ice

I had my friend's company seats and they were fantastic! They were 6 rows from the glass. Section 119...only problem? We sat in Section 109 lol. When the rightful owners of the seats came to claim them 15 minutes in to the first period, we just moved up a few rows rather than go across the arena. DOH! I wish we had, our closer seats were of course much better for pictures. Oh well, I got some good pics before the bitch with the squeaky voice who identified herself as "Tiffany's cousin" finally made it to the game
Some action coming towards our goal

Us actually taking some action to them.

Go Bogo Go!

Toskala locking it down.

Have a seat!

A face off

Toskala making some brilliant save or something *eye roll*

First period ends. Thrashers are down 3 -0. I messaged my husband "Another miserable day in Blueland." At the start of the second period, Kari is in net and I'm in my new, crappier (but still better than I pay for) seats.

Bobo almost gets into yet another fight...almost.

Toskala chats with the ref.

Another face off
Miracle of miracles the Thrashers battled back and won! Our new guy Peverley was on fire. Go Thrashers!!

The Battle for Mediocrity...Thrashers vs Senators

What happens when you get two of the shittiest teams in the NHL together? Someone has to win, although if it were possible to figure out a way for neither to win, I think these two teams would do it. Battles between shitty teams can be good games, kind of like backing up a wounded animal into a corner.

We started off really good! We scored first. Then they caught up. We scored again. Then they tied it. They scored again and we lose. Great.

On to the pictures.

Welcome to the Bobo Show a/k/a warm ups!

I try not to be SOO obvious and take and post 500 pictures of Boris, but I can't help it. In the back you can see stupid Spezza who almost had a hat trick.

Back off honey (blond in the background), he's mine. Stop your learing, that's my job. I'm a cougar, I'll cut ya.

Sorry, couldn't resist

Obligatory Moose shot.
Someone else has noticed that I take tons of pics of Boris lately.
Moose: Is she still taking pictures of Boris?
Thorton: Yes
Moose: Damn it!
Thorton: What are you worried about, she still takes tons of pictures of you and still rocks the Manitoba Moose Jersey even though she has to explain it to the stupid ass Atlanta fans dozens of times.
Moose: Yes, that's true. Good point.
Thorton: I did hear that she was looking at a Valabik jersey though.
Moose: LIAR!!

Jim Slater on puck duty.

At the other end of the ice, our most hated ex-Thrasher, Dany Heately.

Welcome Rich Peverly! This was Rich's first game as a Thrasher. I of course made him a "Welcome" sign and I'm sure he loved it. He played on Ilya's line, not a bad way to start. He didn't score, but everyone including Ilya, agreed that he looked pretty good. He's a fast skater, puts himself in good position and shoots if he gets the chance, what else can you ask for?
Rich wore number 37 in Nashville, but couldn't wear it here. If you need to know why, ask Dany Heatley (that was fucking evil...straight to hell). So he wears 47.

Look who else is back, baby Bogo! Zach Bogosian our first round draft pic (3rd over all) returned from a conditioning stint with the Chicago Wolves after returning from a broken leg. He scored his first professional goal there. I thought he looked much better on the ice than before. He didn't look as awkward and seemed more confident.
If you want to read the most adorable thing in the world, check out the Blue Land Blog where Zach made some guest entries while injured. You can read about his new car, how he makes Bogo fries, likes icecream and plays video games. It's so stinking adorable.
I made him a welcome back Zach sign and mentioned how much I loved the blog posts. I'm sure he was delighted.

YES! Finally, Kaptain Kovalchuk. The C looks good on him. Too bad the couldn't win his first game as captain.

I've decided that I want to try and take my pictures in a new direction...actually have them be interesting! Face off shots are great, but I want action. I know I don't have the skill or equipment or usually the seats to get great shots, but I want to improve what I can get.
I'm very excited about this shot. This is one of the happy moments of the game, one of our goals! If you look in the net at the upper left hand side, you can see the puck.

Kari making a save (actual photo evidence that he can do so)

I like this one because you can see the ice fly up from the ref's skate

More action in our zone (boo)

Boris and Neil started barking and I was hoping for a fight. They kept giving each other the look and bumping, but no go.

Bobo did lose his mind later in the game though. Went nuts on someone.

More action

Our starting goalie, Kari Lehtonen hosing his eyes down. He does this a lot. He should look into lasik.
