Pink in the Rink: Gladiators vs Checkers

What's better than hockey? Hockey for a good cause. Every year the Gladiators have a fund raising promotion called "Pink in the Rink." They have tons of promotions and most famously they die the ice pink! ECHL and other minor teams around the country have been doing this for a few years and I was excited to see it for myself!




And, as a bonus, it was my buddy Marissa's 21st birthday. She's a big Mike Forney fan, can you tell?





What's really cool and cute since it was Valentine's Day is that in the face-off circle, they have little hearts instead of circles.

Another cool thing about the event is that the Gwinett Gladiators were honoring our old IHL team, the Atlanta Knights. They had specials jerseys for the game.

First Period!

It was a fabulous first period for the Gladiators. My boy Chad Denny scored the first goal. Then it was Miller time and Tim Miller scored on a power play goal. The Gladiators ended the first period up 2-0
