2010 Prospect Camp - Day Two
Day two of Thrashers Training camp, woo hoo! The sessions were longer, but the pictures just as crappy.
Team White took the ice first. To make matters confusing, Team White wore both blue AND white jerseys, the forwards were in blue and defense in white.
Swedish Dman, Sebastian Owuya waits for drills.
My Loveko crew will be happier today. I did manage to get a few decent pictures of him. I think I'm going to try and get my picture WITH Levko before the end of camp.
Well Tim was definitely right about the unknown goalie, it IS indeed Robert Levin. How do I know?
His name is on his pads....how adorable is that??
Our prospect acquired through the Chicago trade, Akim Aliu. The kid has definitely got size, but seemed a little slow today.
Levin stealing some joy from Paul Postma.
Levko in front of the net.
I really enjoy watching Levin play. He is a battler, very animated and fights to make the saves.
Levin waiting for the shots.
Blurry poke check! I can't help it. I know the picture sucks, but I can't resist a picture of a poke check.
Levko, Levin and Pasquale stretching out.
Enter Team Blue!
Chris Carrozzi and his mesmerizing pads.
Pictures sucked so badly today I barely got a decent one of Klingy. His blurry buddy back there is fellow Frolunda Indian, Nicklas Lasu.
We love Jordan Samuels! He's a good Connecticut boy like my husband! I thought he looked good today. He had good speed and was holding on to the puck pretty good.
My favorite drill they did today was where they had to pass the puck around the coach, through his legs and back around. Unfortunately pictures sucked so bad today, I could only get a goalie doing it!
Carrozzi was pretty intense today. He took every puck in his net as a personal insult. He did not like letting the puck go in nor would he let them stay in there for long. He got scored on once and let a loud obscenity fly.
Cody Sol in front of the net.
Hey Chris, how about a pic for my blog?
Fine, be that way.
Woo hoo! Two for one blurry pics of pokechecks.
Burmistrov (left) sitting on the bench while they zambonied the ice again.
Kangas says no.
Things you can never have enough of....stretching goalie pics.
The ice was crap today for the second session. Burmistrov fell down a few times. Klingy bit the dust, too. They had to resurface the ice half way through. I noticed a few fun things about camp today...most of the guys are huge! Last season, Cody Sol was easy to pick out on the ice at 6'4''. He kind of blends in this season. On the roster, their are only two guys listed as under 6 feet. I suspect some might have some vanity inches though coughcoughBurmistrovcoughcough. Another thing today, in the second session, the babies were playing rough! Cody Sol gave Klingy a few shots that were damn near cross checks. It was a good session!
Heading back tomorrow. Hopefully better pictures and better insight!

Good luck with the Levko photo opp. He's such a sweet kid. Hopefully they get that ice better tomorrow! :)
