Thrashers Sign Jimmy Slater!
According to Chris Vivalamore (AJC) on his twitter, the Thrashers have come to an agreement with forward, Jimmy Slater! Details about the contract will be revealed later.
Slater, 27, posted 18 points (11 goals, seven assists) in 61 games with the Thrashers last season. The 6-0, 200-pound center set a new career-high in goals and tied his career-high with two game-winning tallies. Slater was also awarded with the 2010 Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy and was a co-winner of the 2010 Gilner-Reeves Community Service Award.
If you need to reacquaint yourself with Slater, check out the Focus on a Thrasher I did on him last summer: http://gettingpucksdeep.blogspot.com/2009/08/focus-on-thrasher-jim-slater.html
Best news of all...Beth will be able to bring her sign back!

I saw that! I'm pulling for your team, Mean Mom!
I'm a little late to the party, but thanks for posting this! You know I am relieved to know that Jimmy is coming back! I can't wait for season to start...or pre-season...heck, even practice!
