IN THE FACE!!!!!!!!!
A bit of "Hang Over" humor there. It could also be Ian Laperriere's theme. Earlier this season, Lappy took a puck in the mouth and although he received catastrophic damage (100 stitches and 7 teeth) returned for the third period. He also played the next night in Atlanta.
His face was a mess and he was in a full cage, but he played.
In Game 5 of the series between the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers, Lappy took another puck to the face, this time from Paul Martin. The wound was a little higher on the head this time, scary close to his eye. It took 50 stitches. (I stole this picture)
You can see his post game interview here:

The site dedicated to this warrior, "It's All About Lappy" has a "get well" card that you can electronically sign. Head on over and give him some praise!

Awwww, so sweet.
He's doing better, and doesn't expect to miss any of the next series, seeing as how surgery won't be necessary...he does however look like he got hit in the eye with a Mack truck.
Yes!!! Go leave your Get Well wishes; he does visit the site, and reads them all. :-)
Nice entry....really wishing you could have done one on him that *didn't* involve him getting smashed in the face again, though. :-) Sigh...that's my boy. (Although when my old friend Eric told me 15 years ago to "keep watching Ian", I don't think he had this season's brutality in mind, LOL....)
