Bend Over Blueland: Thrashers vs Leafs

Toronto Maple Leafs blew into town for the first time this season. They played the previous night where they managed to blow a 5-2 lead against the St. Louis Blues. They did manage to win in a shoot out. Thrashers were hoping to keep up their own winning streak and win their third game in a row.

There were a few waffle signs and some waffle boxes. I was looking forward to a fun time. I would not get that.

First period started out pretty normal.

The Thrashers got on the board first. Toby got a goal for my fantasy team, good job.

Trying to get some jump in their teams, old dance partners Colton Orr and Eric Boulton square off. One team definitely got some energy and it wasn't the Thrashers.

After the first period, things pretty much went to hell.

After letting in four goals, Mason came in to mop up the mess.


Buff: We won't suck as bad for you as we did for Pavs.

Some bullshit started. Eager punches Armstrong in the face, something which he will get a 4 game suspension for later. At the moment, he gets a 5 minute penalty
match penalty.

Toronto proceeded to score 3 goals. Then I did something I'd never done...I left early. It was 8-1 and the 2nd intermission. I got the fuck up out of there. Over 123 straight games and this is the first time I've ever left early. The game ended up with a 9-3 score. Ladd scored. Patrice Cormier scored his first NHL goal in this shittastic debacle.

Put in the rearview and move on. Go Thrashers!

1...2...3 Awwwww. Congrats to Colby Armstrong

Former Thrasher Colby Armstrong celebrated the baptism of his baby son Cruise and his new contract with the Maple Leafs in a beautiful party in his hometown of Saskatoon. Family and friends were on hand to celebrate. Congratulations Colby and Mel!

Colby and his wife Melissa welcomed their new son, Cruise Samson Armstrong, into the world last week. Congratulations guys!

Thrashers Year Book: Colby Armstrong

So the season is over and I have 11ty billion pictures of each players. For the new guys, I can use them in their "Focus on a Thrasher" this summer. But for the guys who were here last year, what's a girl to do? So I came up with the Thrashers Year Book. Each Tuesday I'll share photos of our favorite Thrasher.


I decided to kick the feature off with Colby Armstrong because based on all the rumors you hear, he probably will not be a Thrasher next season :(

Final Thrashers Practice for the 2009-10 Season

I'm really going to miss practice. It's been my saving grace since I got laid off. I've loved being a rink rat this season. Sometimes it was the only thing that got me up early, dressed and out of the house. I will miss it! I'm sure all of my readers will miss the awful pictures as well.



Practice was a madhouse. It is spring break so all the kiddies are out of school. I got my super moose sign signed by Johan the day before.





This is my favorite Moose sign I've made. I've dragged it on 3 road trips and it's been on TV several times.





Today I wanted to get my favorite picture of him signed. I don't know why I love this picture so much, but I do. It's from last season and just something I love about his positioning and the look on his face. I am trying to break it to myself that Moose might not be here next season, so I need to get everything signed that I want to have signed.

It sucks because the quality of the print wasn't great, it came out kind of yellowy. Oh well...hopefully Moose will be here next year and I can get a better quality photo signed.
