Wow, I Guess Hockey Really IS for Everyone!
I bet he has some "Sikh" moves :)

Hands down Thrash is the best mascot in the NHL...or he was. Even when we were the laughing stock of the NHL, which was most of the time, Thrash was respected. My husband and I were rocking out on Guitar Hero World Tour, I'm the drummer, and doing Free Bird. I thought "what a great Thrash tribute song!"
So here it is, all NINE minutes. I tried to find a shorter version, but it left the good parts out. So walk the dog, get a snack and go to the bathroom, then watch. It IS Skynard.

I made this video from photos of my guys I've taken over the seasons. I only used pictures I took, so that is 3 seasons worth. I'm sure I forgot some, but song length prevented any more additions. I plan on making some more videos. Note: this is NOT a good bye to this blog (yet).

As I have mentioned a few times on here, my all time favorite goalie is Pasi Nurminen. He was Atlanta's goalie when I started to get into the Thrashers (2002-2004) and he was my first goalie love. I'm always trying to keep up with with what Pasi is doing these days.
If you didn't know, Pasi is now the goal tending consultant and co-owner of Finland's Lahti Pelicans.
In addition, Pasi can now add actor to his resume, though if you watched him play, these videos aren't that much of a stretch for him. Enjoy!
Show them how it's done, Pasi!!! (the tag line at the end of the video translates to "Faster Than Ever."
Pasi drives the zamboni. I'd love to know what he is yelling. Any Finns checking in? I'd love a translation.
And finally, who the hell gave Pasi a radar gun?

Nice job Sean. You are still a douche bag, but I admire you for this.

I know Jack Edwards is a super homer, possibly only out-homed by Pittsburgh's Steigy, but wow. I don't think I knew he was insane as well. Watch this ramble.

Not literally thank God. This is the most Martha Stewart I've ever watched and I can say I'm done. Unless Henrik comes back. He is such a good sport putting up with this shit.

Neither is being a goalie in Montreal. Carey Price takes so much heat being the starting goal tender in Montreal, he deserves a bit of fun. After stopping Chris Kunitz in the Habs' shoot out victory over the Penguins, Price strikes a pose and mean mugs for the camera.

Kane can score goals.
Guess that's why he's "the next big thing in hockey" according to ESPN Magazine. Glad to see Kaner get some love, but I can't get over my hate of EJ Hradek. Wonder who told him about Kane, maybe it was "Byron Young."

I do love this picture they used, though.

Team Sweden faced Team Canada on Friday and defeated them 6 to 5! In international tournaments, I pull for ABC...Anyone But Canada. It makes it easy for me to cheer for Team Sweden since we have 2 Thrashers prospects on the team. One of those prospects, Carl Klingberg, netted TWO goals in the game. Here is Carl talking about the game.
Lycka till, boys!

Happy Holidays, Puck Heads! I know I have greatly neglected the blog lately. I know I am two games behind. I have very good reasons though, look at those little faces! Those are my nephews and niece in Mobile, Alabama. Future hockey fans if I can help it.
I plan on getting caught up in the next few days. Until then, I leave you with this thing of beauty. Our very own Gwinnett Gladiators in a line brawl that includes a....GOALIE FIGHT!! Yes Virginia, there is a Santa!!!
EDIT:
And because youtube/blogger is being a dick, here is the link:

Who doesn't like explosions? The Washington Caps got to live every little boy's (and a lot of little girl's) dreams as they did a team building exercise at the FBI headquarters. Enjoy! The end of the video is not safe for Pens fans ;)

In one of my favorite features, Clubhouse Confessions, some of the Thrashers reveal what their favorite shows were when they were growing up.
Boultsie, you'll get no heat from me! I was a fan of the Smurfs!
Chris Mason furthers the idea that he is a massive dork (meant in a good way) by proclaiming his love for "The Mighty Hercules," an obscure cartoon from the 60s. Dragon Con AND the Might Hercules, does he get anymore awesome?
And finally, my beloved Johnny. No one has a problem seeing him as a fan of Fraggle Rock.

It's tough sometimes walking the fine line between female fan and puckbunny. I love the sport, there is nothing like being at a game, but come on, some of the guys are H-O-T! I find the chicks who claim to even notice that the guys are good looking to be equally as ridiculous. I mean come on, have you SEEN Johan Hedberg?? Zach Bogosian?
This video was on Puck Daddy and is sweeping the web around the hockey circles. It's an adorable girl singing a song about Puck Bunnies. She wrote the song for her friends who are huge Thrashers fans. Check it out!
My favorite line is "Puck Bunnies don't know *@(! about hockey, they're there to play a different game." I think that's what distinguishes Bunnies from fans. Although with the way we are filling the arena, we need Bunnies to buy tickets, too!
Anyone know this girl? I'd love to talk to her and interview her for the blog, her friends too! I'll buy them a beer (if they are old enough).

There is a new "Supa' Star" in town! The Thrashers asked on their facebook page how many of the 10 games in November you would be attending. I commented "all 10." They contacted me and asked if I would be their guinea pig and do a little in-arena interview. I said sure!
The first interview was down by the glass before the Columbus game. Unfortunately when they played the interview back, you couldn't hear us thanks to the loud (crappy) pre game music. So we did another interview before the Chicago game up in Headlines. Most of the questions were the same, but I liked the first one better because I got to talk about why I liked Johnny Oduya.
SO...if you want to hear a fat old lady who sounds like a 13 year old redneck boy talk about why she loves hockey, give it a watch!

I prepared myself all season. I knew it would one day happen in some form or fashion...Moose would no longer be a Thrasher. It's still tough. I can't imagine going to the games and not seeing him.
Thanks to everyone who helped with this video by sending in pictures. My husband actually came up with the music and as soon as he said it, I knew it was right.
Good luck in New Jersey, Moose!
