Finally! The Olympic break is over and it's time for some live Thrashers hockey! While I immensely enjoyed the Olympics, nothing compares with seeing it live. Tuesday night the Florida Panthers came to town. Coming in on a 7 game losing streak, they are a small step away from blowing up the whole team and starting over.

Moose debuted his new mask tonight. As always, the work is fantastic. Dave Art does amazing work on all Moose's mask. I'm not in love with the mask though. I liked his themed masks....Sponge Bob (even though I hated it for a while)...Pirates of the Moose-abbean, Indiana Moose, etc. This one is kind of plain. I DO love the moose peeking around corner though.
The guys are glad to be back on the ice.

First period!
At the beginning of the game the cowbell came out and I got a dirty look from this chick. Then when they would cheer and play music, she would cover her ears. Lady you are at a hockey game, not the library. You better be glad you weren't in Philly.
After we scored 2 goals in the first 4 minutes of the game, Florida decides they need to call a time out!
That's right Kubina, get his ass out of the way.
Apparently Florida's time out worked, they scored two goals and tied the damn game.

Seeing Marty and another Thrasher sitting in the penalty box while we try and kill off a 5-on-3. I guess at least if Hainsey is in the box he can't put it in our own net.

The Thrashers came out on fire scoring 2 within the first 4 minutes of the game. We also killed of a 5-on-3. Unfortunately Florida also got on the board and we went into the second period tied at 2-2.

Instead of spiraling out of control after blowing a 2-0 lead, the Thrashers rallied in the second period and scored 2 more goals. We headed into the 3rd period up 4-2!
The on-ice entertainment for the second intermission was human bowling and my buddy Marissa was one of the contestants! Go Mo!

My favorite thing is how he keeps the hat on while putting the headset on. Notice his bandaged hand, too.
