Peverley Hillbilly Update!

Last night was an awesome night and I'll blog about that later, but had to share this update first.
At the game I saw the Peverley Hillbilly and said "I've got to go talk to him." I was talking to Michelle and JB at the time who were sitting above them and a little to the side, perfect for photo taking. I was a bit nervous at first. What if this guy is pissed? What if he says "fuck you, fat bitch" and dumps a beer on be? So I chickened out...then changed my mind. JB said "we've got your back." I said "If they start throwing punches, come get me!"


So I went up to him and said "Hi! I'm the one who sent you in to Puck Daddy." Fortunately for me, he was very cool and very pleased with my entry. Both gentlemen told me their names, and I suck 100% because I don't remember. His friend has a Larry the Cable Guy version of a jersey. He said when it gets warmer, he will complete his ensemble with the obligatory "jorts" (jean shorts). So kudos to these guys for being good sports and most importantly, supporting the team. Maybe I can work an interview out of this!

I submitted this photo of this guy to Puck Daddy for their Jersey Foul section and thanks to his costume, we made it on there! So if you knew this guy, give him a heads up that he is a celebrity for the next few minutes!


Best part....Puck Daddy says I make a lot of sense! I'm gonna milk that one!

Nice Job, Pavs!

You can really tell the difference in our team this season. After the Penguins snapped our 6 game winning streak on Thursday, our next opponents were the Washington Capitals, one of the best teams in the league. Instead of collapsing as we would have done in the past and lost another game, the team got back to business and got yet another victory against the Caps, our first win on Washington ice in nine games!


Ondrej Pavelec stood on his head and really put on a clinic. The only one he let in was due to Byfuglien being a bit out of position when he broke his stick and tried to grab Rich Peverley. Alex Ovechkin saw his moment and seized it with a nasty little slap shot.



Ondrej made 45 saves on 46 shots, enough to make him the NHL's #2 star of the night. (my kind of list, all the stars are goalies!)



His performance also impressed Puck Daddy enough for him to be the #1 star of the night.


Outstanding job, Ondrej! I feel a sign coming on :)

My Friend's Handiwork on Puck Daddy

My friend Kate is a big Nashville Predators fan and a kick ass cake maker. I met her on a scrapbooking website, so we have a bit in common as I love hockey, scrapbooking and I love to EAT cake.


So Puck Daddy has been running these posts called the Decadent NHL Playoff Preview. They have one for each series. They have a cake or cupcake for each series. They also have some pretty funny photoshops and some hot pictures of Giada De Laurentiis, if you are into that sort of thing.


I saw my friend Kate's Predators Puck cake on her facebook page and started harassing her (literally) to send it in for them to use. She sent it in and they used it. Woot Woot!


News is sparse in the off season, eh?

My Entry Into Puckdaddy's "Sidney Crosby Golden Roar" Reader Art Contest

If you haven't checked this contest out, you need to. You will be laughing so hard. I don't think I can win, I'm not even sure mine will make it on the site. I've wanted to enter one of their contests for ages and decided to do so. I saw the "Gladiator" one and thought of "300." I'm sure 238 others did as well.
