The Beginning of the End
I've struggled with this issue a lot, but I'm pulling the plug on this blog. I just don't have it in me any more. I thought I could just post about the few games a season I went to and maybe some big updates around the league, but I can't. It just doesn't bring me the joy it once did. This blog has brought me a lot of happiness. I've met a lot of good people and made some great friends. It thrills me to no end that people enjoyed this blog.
I have pictures from a Tampa Bay game I went to a month ago I will try to get around to. I'm going to the Winnipeg/Preds game on March 24. I will blog those. I will try and do a few last "best of" posts. Then I will make the final post. The blog will still be around, amazingly I get almost 100 hits a day, but will not be updated. It is with great sadness that I make this decision. Yet something else the Atlanta Spirit has robbed me of.
So, suggestions? What were favorite posts? What "best of" type posts would you like to see?

I understand your decision to put her (the blog) to bed. I was a non-participating avid reader of your blog, even at one time myself blogging frequently and often about the Thrashers (see my final Thrashers post at www.paulthology.com/blog/?p=451). I read all the Thrashers blogs via an RSS feed, so while I never participated specifically with your posts, I do appreciate the content, I was at one point starved for it! I too am saddened to see my two sons put on their Thrashers jerseys, and the younger one (4) is still not really comprehending the exodus. The older one (8) now plays roller, so his enjoyment of watching the game has turned to playing it, and that's all we can hope for.
If you play hockey, I am in a street hockey pickup game twice a week in East Atlanta. Check out atlantastreethockey.com or look for the Atlanta Street Hockey group on Facebook.
Thanks for the memories. Take care.

E-mail us over at hockeygoddesses.com if you might ever want to share your pictures with us -- full credit of course. I know how you feel. I've struggled to carry on as a fan -- it's been a grim year. But I believe you can find hockey love again.
