Thrashers Casino Night
Every year the Atlanta Thrashers have a Casino Night fund raiser for the thier charity, the Atlanta Thrasers Foundation. For a mere $200 you can have a night of faux casino fun with the players from the Atlanta Thrashers as your dealers. Open bar and fantastic food are included, too. Of course no women eat at functions like that because we want everyone to think we are delicate creatures that never eat.
The players are introduced numerically. That means my favorite, Johan Hedberg, comes out first. Then comes Exelby and so on.
Moose looks like he's worried about tonight.
"I don't think my number one fan is going to be able to get a spot at my table."
Ex said "I saw her back there looking for Bobo's table."
Moose said "Liar."
On the right hand of the stage
Very back row: Our newest Thrasher, Peverly.
Middle Row: Havelic, Lehtonen, Boulton, ?, Coach Anderson
Front row: 1/2 of Perrin, White, Kozlov, Williams
Crusher!
The Crabb Shack! Joey Crabb was very good for my friend and date for the night. She was quite lucky at his black jack table.
Ah, Ron Hainsey. I managed to get a shot of him through the masses of adoring females that were crowding his table.
Looks like he is concentrating so hard!
Ex is looking dapper as ever with his fasionable hat. That is not a feather coming out of the hat, it's part of a display.
An Army of adorable at this table. He was a ton of fun. He seems like he'd be cool to hang out with.
We stopped by the table of our newest Thrasher, Rich Peverly, and welcomed him to Atlanta. He returned the favor with some good hands of cards.
Ah...my Moose. I managed to get a peek at him through the hysteria at his table.
Goalies sticking together, at the table next to the Moose was our big Fin, Kari Lehtonen.
I eventually gave all of my chips to my friend because she was much better. I just chatted with players and fans and watched. When we were done, we cashed in our chips and started harassing players for pictures. They were all great about it. We made sure not to interrupt conversations and thanked them profusely when done. I guess they know it's part of the drill. Waiting outside men's bathroom might have been a bit much, just kidding. Not really. Okay it wasn't OUTSIDE the men's bathroom...just near it.
Colby Armstrong was behind the dealers' table and it was hard to get a picture with him. We had to lean across. NOT flattering. You can see up my nose, too. Great.
*SWOON* This is essentially 1/2 of the reason I paid $200 to go. A picture with Bobo, my favorite non-goalie player. He was so nice. I had to retake the picture because the first one goofed up.
Who doesn't love a tough boy? Me and our team muscle, Eric Boulton. Love the black eye!
Kaptain my Kaptain! Me and Kovy.

The pictures are great!! Your dress looks fabulous! What color shoes did you finally go with?
You know, I could be so cool around a celebrity, but I am sure I would lose my cool around Hainsey. It would definitely be worth the money to go to something like that.
Your dress is beautiful- can you tell me where you got it... I am looking for a red drss for a charity auction and it looks like what I want. Thank you in advance
Montanafam, I got it at Belk's. It's on Nordsrom's website, but not in red. Some said they saw it at Dillard's as well.
Great pictures and you look awesome! :-)
