Hockey Photo of the Day
Kari Lehtonen, goalie for the Atlanta Thrashers. I will willingly admit he doesn't get enough love on this blog. I love goalies, but my favorite is the back up, Moose. Kari is a fantastic goalie and we jokingly call him the hardest working man in hockey. It's not uncommon for him to see 30+ shots a night, sometimes as high as 40.

Yep, I very much did like that. And I like that you post a big version because I like to see where their masks are chipped and silly stuff like that.

Meanmom, I'm so glad to hear about your Yotes! I think of you everytime there is a story about them. Benefiting from an expansion team myself I am SO pro teams staying put. People who think we don't "deserve" hockey or hockey shouldn't be there piss me off. What happened to "Hockey is for everyone???"
Ms.Conduct, Kari is so particular about some things with his mask. He is the perfect weirdo goalie lol. I like to say he puts the Finn in Finnicky. If it's a new mask, he doesn't want any pictures posted or published of it until it's game worn. He has a Transformers mask that he wore a few times in practice that he allegedly hates and refuses to wear. I'm wondering if he'll give it another shot after this season. He had a new mask that he wore some that has the Joker on it. I'll find a good pic of it. As long as our big Finn keeps stopping those pucks, he can be as superstitious as he likes. Goalie quirks are one of the 2 billion reasons I love them.
Moose had a HUGE paint chip on the top of his mask. I'll see if I can find a good pic of that, too.
While you're looking, would you mind letting me use one your hot shots of Moose for my blog? I'm doing my top 5 hot goalies and he's on the list. Figure you probably have the best assortment. Something with his mask up so you can see his pretty face? :D

Nope, I don't mind. It's got a faint watermark. Thanks for asking. I don't mind. What I DO mind is stumbling across one of my pictures being used on another (nameless) blog withough give me credit or asking for permission.
