Hockey Photo of the Day

This was a very happy night for us Thrashers fans. On Sunday, January 11 2009, at a charity casino night, the Atlanta Thrashers FINALLY named Ilya Kovalchuk as their captain. We went 1/2 a season with no captain so it was a long time coming. Kovy's play really turned around after that. He is a fantastic captain.






Me and the Kaptain! I was lucky enough to congratulate Kovy in person that night.

How fun! And I love your red dress (what I can see of it). Hopefully the Coyotes will start gearing up for this season with appearances and such. They've done practically none since moving to the Glendale (from Phoenix)arena and I think that's something that has soured fans on management. They've got one Open House planned already, but only one, unknown (to me) player scheduled to attend.
