Woo Hoo! Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Starts Today!
If you are not into watching the men's ice hockey games in the 2010 Olympics, you are missing out! I am super excited to see the action. It's like an All Star game...where they actually play!
The action kicks off today with Team USA going against Team Switzerland. I've had the pleasure of seeing guys from both teams come through Blueland.
Some names you will recognize for Team USA
Between the Pipes!
Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres is the US starting goalie and will see most of the action.
Tim Thomas from Boston will be backing him up.
Riding the bench a lot will be Jonathon Quick from the LA Kings.
Jonathon's fellow King, Jack Johnson will be on Team USA as well.
Forward Joe Pavelski of the San Jose Sharks.
Ducks star Bobby Ryan
Former Bruin and current Maple Leaf, Phil Kessel.
Bringing the D will be Brooks Orpik from the Penguins.
Another Dman for Team USA, Nashville's Ryan Suter.
The New Jersey Devils are sending two of their finest players, Captain Jamie Langenbruner, who is also the Captain of Team USA.
Also from the Devils, Zack Parise hopes to be a scoring phenom.
Last but certainly not least, Chicago Blackhawks sends their superstar, Patrick Kane! Just don't share a cab with him.
Team USA will be taking on Switzerland who have a few stars themselves.
Islander Defenseman, Mark Streit will be there.
Probably their biggest star is their netminder, Jonas Hiller of the Anaheim Ducks.
Good luck everyone, be safe. Go USA!

i was surprised to see that Hainsey was named an alternate. i read that in an article today. i cant wait for "blog season" to start back on home games. there will be alot of work to do 12 home games in 30 days!
Kerry I actually dreamed about Hainsey being the alternate the other night lol. TOO MUCH HOCKEY IN MY MIND!
March is going to be a super fun and super busy ride. I'm going to have to find my carpal tunnel brace!
