So What's Going To Happen To This Blog
I have no idea. I've enjoyed doing this blog so much. I've enjoyed meeting people at the arena who follow this blog. It's one of the many heartbreaks that come with the Thrashers leaving. I thought I would convert it to a Preds/Gladiators blog, but now I don't know. What scares me most is I feel like I want a break from hockey. I've never felt that before.

I totally get that. I think I'm going to have to go cold turkey, off hockey. Never thought I'd say that. But there are soooo many levels of shit to be hurt and angry about, from Bettman to ASG, to Waddell, to Phoenix and favoritism and greed...its too much to deal with. And its all linked to hockey.
Hockey on TV is never as good as having your own team, in person, in your own arena.
But I love the sport too much to stay gone too long. And when I get back, yours is a blog I will want to see.
I feel really sorry for you! I'm a Thrashers fan from Finland and it hurt me too. But you in Atlanta, I can't imagine what it would be to lose a team. You have been doing this great blog and I can see how passionate fan you are. I know, you're completely disappointed and frustrated... to be honest, I bet you're just broken and that's nothing but understandable.
I have just one thing to tell you: I've followed your blog and I've enjoyed to read all of those pictures and jokes so don't give up! You've got hilarious sense of humor. So when you have finished to cry over Thrashers, please come back.
THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES!
We invite you to join us at hockeygoddesses.com if you'd like to write about hockey for us. We've always loved your blog.
I'm the person who writes about the Thrashers for HGs, and I feel lost too, but I've resolved to become a scathing critic. Whether you want to join us or not, I hope you won't turn in your blogging keyboard! We need more female voices. Message me if you're interested in maybe doing some work with us. kaatiya@hockeygoddesses.com *hugs*
Just wanted to say that I enjoyed reading your blog. I just got into hockey this year and your blog really caught me up on the organization because there really isn't that much information other than stats out there about the Thrashers. I was really looking forward to the next season and being able to head to blueland.
Regardless of what the media says you and all the other thrasher fans are some of the best fans in the league and for them to turn their back on you is just horrible. I hope that they get called out and exposed for what they did. Atlanta fans deserved better.
I don't think we can walk away from hockey. I'm too new of a fan to give it up, and Ed was a hardcore Coyotes fan when he lived in Arizona. Just today we were planning how we'll get to Preds games, and how often. No matter what, though, it will never be the same as cheering for my Atlanta Thrashers. Our seatmates and hockey friends are irreplaceable, as is our team. (And thinking about my Slater banner sitting in a closet, collecting dust, makes me want to weep.) I'm trying to focus on the positives: all the great games and experiences I've had in the last six years, and how much money we'll be saving by not having season tickets, parking fees 1-2 times a week, and Taco Mac bills.
Actually, those things don't make me feel any better right now. I'm just sad.
