Ole Ole Ole....Thrashers vs Canadiens

I can no sooner make a post about the Toronto Maple Leafs without the video of the Goalie landscaper than I can make this Habs post without the following video. My favorite part is at second 55 when he says "When you feel so treh bon so HAUGH HAUGH." God I love it.


Habs ont les plus grands fans douche bag dans la ligue. Habs fans sont fous.





I actually don't hate the Habs. I hate (most of) their fans. The few fans I've met that have been cool indeed say most fans are asses.
One of the Habs I REALLY don't hate, Hal Gill. I love me some Hal Gill.





I love Georges Laraque, too. One of the biggest bad asses on the ice, a super sweet, vegan, charity driven man off of the ice.





But back to the Thrashers!

Bobo! I'm so glad Bobo is back and playing well. His skating and positioning has improved and he's only taken 1 penalty in the past 2 games. Nice job, Boris!

Nice view of Sponge Bob Moose Pants. I had my "I believe in Moose" sign (as seen on TV!) and fellow Moose fan Donna had her "I love Moose" sign, so Moose was feeling the love.

Pavs has a new mask. It's really nice. It pays homage to the old Atlanta Flames.





You can see that he has an old Flames goalie on the other side. I don't know if it is a particular goalie or not. This month's "Ask a Thrasher" is Ondrej, so I submitted a question asking who it is. Hopefully they will choose mine and we can find out.

First Period!


I go up to my seat and my husband goes up to his. We only have 1 season ticket because he usually can't make the games. He buys a $10 seat up in 400. He likes it up there. Two rows behind me were the loudest most obnoxious Haugh Haughs (Habs fans) in the world. The chick's shrill voice was like an ice pick in my skull. Between my Santa Thrashers hat and the Habs chick, I was getting a head ache.


I love when we play Canadian teams because I love hearing the Canadian National Anthem, too. This chick was serious! She had a formal gown and white gloves. She even did parts of the anthem in French. I knew the Habs fans would love that.





I finally couldn't take the shrill bitch behind me anymore and asked my husband if there were any seats up in 400. Score! He was in a row with two seats and he was all alone. So I journeyed up into the rafters of Phillips Arena. The view was similar to the one I had for the blogger day. Be sure and click on the pictures to make them bigger. The first period ended with the Thrashers being down 1-0 thanks to a power play goal by former Thrasher, Glen Metropolit.


Second Period!







The action was delayed a bit when Schubert cracked the glass and it had to be repaired.





Carey Price continuing to make amazing saves.





Come on Antro, you know you can't rough poor Carey up. No harm no foul. Carey is fine and Nik didn't get a penalty.

The second period was a scoring bonanza! The Canadiens went up 2-0 after an unassisted wrist shot from Andre Kostitsyn. and I got boo-boo face. Moose probably should have had that one. I thought "Great, another day in Blueland." I lost the faith! Sorry guys! Christoph Schubert led the charge back with a goal and Army tied the game up with a goal of his own. Montreal pulled ahead with another goal by A. Kostitsyn. Hope was restored when Antro tied it up.


Third Period!


Carey Price was spectacular in this game.

No scoring in the third period! It was still tied up. Moose made a PHENOMENAL save against Sergei Kostitsyn and completely redeemed himself from that soft goal in the first period. Big save!

Carey Price totally stole his team a point. He absolutely robbed Boulton and made a few phenomenal glove saves while facing 35 shots on goal. We also hit the post several times in the first. I was convinced the hockey gods hated us. Fortunately we pulled it out!
