I Declare Today as "MARTY TURCO DAY!"
Tonight my beloved Thrashers take on Dallas Turcos...I mean Dallas Stars. I don't really give 2 shits about anyone else on the team except Ribeiro and it will be cool to see Mike Modano. But tonight is all about Marty Turco. I haven't been this excited since the first time I took pictures of Marty Brodeur. Seeing the Dallas Stars is pretty rare for fans in Blueland, they haven't been through in 2 season. As soon as the schedule came out in July I was beyond excited to see that Dallas was coming through.
If you follow my blog, you might remember I had a special Nashville trip planned to see Turco. DISASTER! To refresh your memory http://gettingpucksdeep.blogspot.com/2009/11/marty-turcofail.html
Soon I will have my own pictures of Turco and won't have to rip them off of the net.
*swoon* that hair...those eyes!
My husband has a friend in Dallas and she recently got me Turco's autograph on a trading card. It says "Merry Christmas Virginia." How awesome is that???
I expect to get some good pictures of Moose and Marty chatting, because as most of you probably know....
they played together in Dallas. A friend of Moose = good people.
In a perfect world, it would have been Moose vs Marty and the Thrashers would win in a shoot out. I would SOOO love to see Marty in a shoot out. I'd love to see him turn side ways and do the little hop! Chances are not good though :( Moose played against Florida last night (lost) and Marty played against Carolina last night (lost). I have a feeling I will be seeing Pavelic vs Auld. Oh well, at least I get to SEE Marty!
Now I'm even paranoid about that. What if something happens. What if he gets sick? What if I get sick? What if my car breaks down? What if an asteroid hits? AGH!!!! I need a pill.
One of my favorite Marty Turco commercials. If my husband had to ask "Sweetheart, what is Marty Turco doing in the Corolla" I can tell you there would be a different answer.
A funny commercial with Turco in it. He'd be in trouble if I saw him walking home.
Here Marty talks about my all time favorite NHL commercial, "The Road Trip."
