Les Thrashers continuent à sucer: Atlanta vs Montreal
The Montreal Canadiens came to town and with them was a former son of Blueland, Brent Sopel. I went down to the Habs side with a sign for him that said "Thank you, Brent."
Montreal added some size with Paul Mara.
Plekanec must use the same height chart that St. Louis does, he claims to be 5'11''.
PK Subban has been rubbing folks the wrong way in the NHL. I like him, he's on my fantasy team.
Another big boy on the blue line, Hal Gill.
Brent zooming around. I hope he saw mys sign. I appreciate all of the hard work he put in while with the team.
Looks like some other Habs fans were excited to see Sopes, too.
Carey Price in net.
Swarming the goalie.
PK is all smiles.
Time for the anthem! Mason has a little friend.
Mason made sure he removed his mask for the anthem.
Then hit him with his stick.
Looks like the kid is giving him hell!
Kid: I'm not taking any shit from you, have you seen your SV%??
Toby: I'm not getting into this one.
Baby Goalie fell down a few times, but did well. Mason gives him his mask.
Stuart and Boltsy guarding the crease.
Hainsey pushing Gionta around. hahahahaha like that's hard.
Sopel doing what he does best, blocking shots.
Lots of folks in the Habs zone.
In the 2nd period I got to do something very very cool. My friend Randy got the privilege of going to sit in the radio booth with Dan Kamal, the voice of the Thrashers. He was nice enough to invite me along. We were high above the ice and view was amazing. Dan also said our names over the radio. COOL!
Don't be a pussy, buy a real drink. If you are not in the tropics or on Bourbon Street, there is NO excuse in a grown man having this as a drink.
Speaking of drinks.
Mason makes a stop.
Speaking of drinks, I need one. Another loss in our 5 game homestand.

You're sooo right, the Habs are tiny... The upside is that guys like Plekanec and Cammalleri are physically incapable of getting a high stick call. But the poor slob known as Gionta takes the cake. 5-7? Poor dude. ^_^
Very thoughtful having that sign for Sopel. Agree, he was a hard-working guy here.
And the radio booth gig...so cool! How does Kamal call an entire game from that distance? Crazy.
Lela, you are totally right. Not to mention they are amazing players. Anytime someone like Gionta, Zuccarrello or St. Louis draws a high stick penalty from us I'm like "High stick?!?! He's 4'11'' they are ALL high." lol
Yeah, I have nothing bad to say about Sopel and will continue to follow his career. As for Kamal, he has the best seat in the house. You can see everything! You can really see the plays develop...and break down.
