Thrashers Preseason: Nashville Predators
I was super excited to return to Blueland after having missed the previous game due to illness. I was hoping to see the Thrashers actually win a preseason game, but at the least, see the team coming together.
This was my first time seeing Mason in Blueland.
Toby showing the new guys his favorite spot to hang out.
Pevs and Thor getting read to fire some shots.
Anthony Stewart hanging out.
Little Nikky hanging out in their favorite spot.
Our newest baby Russian, Burmistrov.
No opening face off pics, I was too busy stuffing my face. WOW I've missed $12 chicken strips. So here is a face off from later in the game.
This is something that doesn't usually happen...I didn't know their goalie! Dekanich I knew, Lindback I did not. Welcome to Blueland!
Lindback has been with the Milwaukee Admirals, you can see their logo on his mask.
Ladd and newly appointed captain, Shea Weber battle in front of the net.
I was super excited to get Mason at this end of the ice. I love hit Thrashers stick tape.
One of my new favorite Thrashers, Brent Sopel. I call him "The Gremlin" because he skates kind of hunched over and he's kinda funny looking. I love the Gremlin!
Close up of the Gremlin.
Some chaos in front of Mason.
It was Antro's first game in the line up. He looked excited.
They had Hainsey playing with Sopel a lot. Unfortunately for Sopel, in this game hanging out with Hainsey got him a -2 for the night.
Don't hang yourself yet, Mason! It's just preseason.
Hornqvist getting up close and personal with Mason.
I know Mason, tough game!
Yeah, it's 3. You let 3 in. Oh, and another is on the way.
The guys doing a bit of chatting.
High above the ice watching the game were some of the guys not playing. From left to right, Boris, Slater, Kulda, possibly Welch, and Boulton.
Mason swatting the puck away.
Nashville stud, Joel World.
Welcome back tot his end, Lindback. The third period brought something else for me, a beautiful, pristine sheet of glass. I moved down and to the left so I could enjoy it. No marks, no scuffs and no dirt.
Stewart and Kane waiting for an opportunity.
Then the opportunity came. Kane put it towards the net.
It sat there for what seemed like hours.
Then finally the net was knocked off of the moorings in the struggle. AGH!
More attempts to score.
Modin and Suter having a chat.
What's up Shea! I see you seeing me. Actually I was by some hot chicks, so he probably looked over there a lot.
Shea had his shiny new "C" on his jersey. Congrats, Shea!
Great! Thrash is taking pictures now. Hopefully he doesn't get a blog...I'll be out of business!
Thrashers lose! They keep their streak alive at 0-4.
