Rookie Camp and Second Scrimmage
Time for another scrimmage and Rookie Camp! Once again my husband was willing to be my freelance reporter. Kerry doctored up this picture of him.
Carrozzi in net.
Levko getting the puck to the net.
Once again Fredrik Pettersson was the player of the day. Word is, Dudley likes him, too.
Pettersson in his own zone.
Carrozzi hands the ref the puck.
Pettersson was fast and took and gave hits. He scored a pretty goal when he avoided a hipcheck and did some fancy maneuvering to let the guy covering him slide by.
Mike Davies hanging out with Jullian Melchiori. Davies isn't Thrasher property. He spent 4 seasons with the University of Wisconsin and played a few games in the AHL playoffs last season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
Getting some instructions.
Ben Chiarot chatting with Paquette.
Carrozzi heading for the locker rooms.
Husband's report! I asked him "Okay, what did you notice." His answer "taking pictures at that place without a good lens sucks." Yes it does. It actually sucks WITH a good lens, too.
Goalies - Neither goalie stood out today. The game was high scoring, 6-4, so neither had great games.
Julian Melchiori - had some good rushes to the net.
Alexander Burmistrov - didn't do much shooting, was more of a passer. He is supposed to have put on some weight since prospect camp. Serge did think he looked bigger.
Akim Aliu and Patrice Cormier continue to be vocal and colorful.
Andrey Zubarev - thinks he would be a good power play guy. He's fast and a good set up man.
Cody Sol - always around the puck.
Well I'm Serge is glad his gig as guest reporter is over. This weekend starts training camp and I will be there!
