In the Nest: Carl Klingberg
Unfortunately for me my favorite draftee is the hardest for me to follow because he is in Sweden playing for the Frolunda Indians. Left winger Carl Klingerg (or Klingy as I ridiculously refer to him as) was drafted by the the Thrashers in the 2nd round of last year's NHL Draft, 34th overall.
The Indians have played 10 games, won 5 of them and gone to a tie in one (5-5-1). Carl has played in all 10 games and has 2 goals and 2 assists for a total of 4 points. He also has 10 penalty minutes.
Carl isn't the only baby Thrasher that plays for Frolunda, 2008 draft pick Nicklas Lasu plays with Klingy, too. Nicklas has played in all 10 games as well, but only has 1 point with an assist.

Is it me, or is there something strange about a team in Sweden known as the Frolunda Indians?
It's not just you, lol. I don't get it either.
I just asked my husband "Why DO they have a team in Sweden called the Indians?"
Husband: "Why not?"
Me: "They don't have Indians."
Husband: "We don't have Vikings."
Good point.
Sunshine, how the heck are you? I thought about you tonight watching the Thrashers vs. Caps. What a wild one that was. I thought for sure we were going to go into OT. Caps can't seem to ever sit on a lead. Anyway, I hope you are doing well. Sasha
Hey sasha! Thanks for stopping by! I think about you every time we play the Caps! I'm working on the pics for that game, be sure and check it out.
We really screwed up that 2nd period but we did almost come back!
Gothenburg as well as their team Frölunda is known as "the wild west" that is why their nickname is Indians
A bit far-fetched I know...
Ah, thanks for that Wild West information. That does make a little sense I guess. For whatever reason they are called that, I do love their logo. I'm hoping to have a Klingberg jersey for the next prospect camp.
