Thrashers Practice Monday, October 5
On a whim I went up to Duluth to watch practice today. I've got no job, it's a nasty rainy day and it will be almost 3 weeks before I see my team play again. It seemed like a good idea.
The rink was the coldest I've ever seen it today. It was so cold, I barely took any pictures, I didn't want to pull my hands from out of my hoodie. I finally put my hood up I was so cold. I could have easily had gloves, long johns and a blanket.
Some things I noticed:
- Boris got hurt. Not sure what happened, I was looking the other way. When I turned back around, he was laying on the ice. He was very slow to get up and the trainers came out to him. They finally got him up and over to the bench where he sat for a long time holding his head. I thought he took a puck or stick in the face. He finally got up and slowly made his way across the ice and limped to the dressing room.
- Christoph Schubert was skating with the team today.
- So was Josh Gratton, he was put on waivers later the same day.
- Colby Armstrong was skating with the team. Woo Hoo!
So on to some crappy pics.
Pavs looking like he is making some huge decision.
Moosetastic!
Marty Reasoner deep in thought.
After everyone had left the ice, Pevs, Army and Moose staid out for some extra work.
Moose and Colby chatting.
Colby: Dude, I can't believe you didn't acknowledge her sign on opening night.
Moose: I had to wink at the other chick, I already signed this chick's Moose the other night.
Colby: Do you know how long it probably took her to draw those bricks??
Colby shooting on the Moose.
Moose always so dramatic.
I'm not going tomorrow, but I will be going to Wednesday. I'll be bring more clothes and materials for a bonfire so maybe I can stand to take a few more pictures.
