Drama Comes To Blueland Blogosphere
Or at least my tiny insignificant corner of it.
Looks like Lisa was trying to get some answers from 680 the Fan's John Kincade about why exactly we were not allowed to discuss the Thrashers on the 680 the Fan's Facebook page. I don't follow John on Twitter, as I mentioned, I'm not a big Twitter fan. Michelle emailed me ans asked if I followed Kincade on Twitter, I said no. She said "maybe you should." So I went and checked it out.
My favorite part is the "wise ass that he would have banned himself" bit. I never posted my blog post on their wall. I never slammed 680 the Fan on their page. I have the screen caps to prove it.
I've been a consummate supporter of this team. In the past 3 seasons, I've missed 2 games. I've driven 6 hours to watch them get shut out, I've risked my life in a snow storm to go to Nashville and see them lose. I've been to Casino nights. I've hustled up the money for a season ticket even after being unemployed for 14 months. I've gone to countless practices, training camps and prospect camps. I love this game and this team is finally shining and I think it's time to share it! Excuse me if I think the "home of Atlanta Thrashers hockey" might want to mention it.
Done!
Bring on Thursday night.
**Edit** Got back from lunch and see that I am no "un-banned" and free to discuss anything but the Thrashers on the 680 the Fan Facebook Page :)

IMO Kincade loves drama where he can be in the middle of it and hype himself. The old "any press is good press" thing. Maybe he likes hockey personally, but I've never been impressed that he tries to educate or excite his radio audience about the Thrashers. Sad to say.
And the Blueland Blog has censored uncomplimentary posts in the past. I think an honest discussion can be a good one for the team, as well. But lately there's been so much good to talk about!
Enjoy your site, Virginia.
