The Fun Continues: 680 Still Hates the Thrashers
And it's been confirmed: they hate me too. Well, I don't know if they hate me, but the DID ban me from the page.
I noticed that my Thrashers loving FB friends had been busy last night!
I thought, hey, I'll go post something again, too. That's when I noticed that there was no comment box. There was also the option to "Like." Well I never unliked them. So I decided to see what happened when I clicked "Like."
Huh, nothing. I no longer have the option to "Like" and I can't comment. So I've been banned from the facebook page of an Atlanta Sports radio page for discussing Atlanta Sports. Nice.
I see that they have a post that says that we Thrasher loving fans can check out their separate page that they have had up and running all year. So they have hidden us away on a separate page. (Love the comment by Ethan...which is now gone of course). Hey, maybe the page is cool, let's check it out. Speaking of, WTF is it? I looked around the site and couldn't find it. I decided to search "Thrashers Radio Network."
Nothing.
Let's try "Atlanta Thrashers 680."
Nothing.
I admit, I'm not all that much of a Twitter expert. I have an account mainly so I can get hockey updates. I never Twit/Tweeter/Tweet? myself. I decided to check and see if maybe 680 talks about the Thrashers on their Twitter. Oh wow, they are talking about this fantastic Atlanta Thrashers Radio page that I can't find. They have a link though! Hot damn, here we go. So I follow the link to this page that we Atlanta Thrashers fans can talk about hockey!
FAIL.
It’s just a dumb facebook page, right? Wrong! Social media is huge right now. Businesses, charities and organizations spend tons of time and money reaching people via facebook and twitter. This team is finally playing well and we need to get the word out there. Shouldn’t the very radio station that carries their games be interested in doing the same?? This team needs all the help they can get in the media and at the very least they need to not be sand bagged by their own “home station.”

It's still just amazing to me what their thought processes are on this, but whatever, I supposed we are to "talk amongst ourselves" about the Thrashers.
