New Years and New Ideas
Happy New Year everyone! I hope the fat man brought you what you wanted for Christmas.
I’m kind of in a blog conundrum. I want to keep it fresh, interesting and entertaining and I’m looking for ways to improve. My pictures aren’t the best. I came to an understanding with myself long ago that given my training, equipment and seating, this was the best I could do. Now that there is another Thrashers photoblog just like mine with better pictures I need to step things up or change it. There are so many Atlanta blogs that do things well, I want to stand out and not be lost in the pack. I am open to your suggestions.
I’ve also considered just stopping. All good things must come to ane end. This isn’t a “I’m going to threaten to stop so maybe people will tell me they like me” kind of PVM (please validate me) bullshit post. I’ve been kicking the idea around for a while. I mean I haven’t been to game without a camera since 2007. To watch a game NOT through the lens might be nice…although on the occasions I’ve had a dead battery or something else I felt naked without my camera. The idea of just walking through the doors and not having a full cavity search on me and my camera bag sounds good. It would be nice to not worry about where you are sitting. “Is the view good?” “How is the lighting?” “Is anyone blocking me?” Just go in and enjoy a game! I can't even imagine.
Just ideas I’m kicking around for the new year. Would you want better game recaps? More info? More prospect info? Less prospect info? I’m pretty pleased with my summer programming, but hoping to tweak the season posts.

I enjoy your comments almost as much as the photos. They make your blog uniquely entertaining. Also, you're not just a Thrashers' fan, you're a hockey fan, and that extra bit of info is fun, as well. If you were to stop blogging, your blog would be missed.
You continue to be you your blog sets itself apart from anyone elses !! Everybody could stand side by side and shoot the same shot , and people will see something different in every shot !! You have a unique perspective on hockey and would hate to see it walk away !!
I agree....from a Canadian who is a Thrasher fan, your blog is the best on the web. Would it be rude to ask what other blog site you are talking about....if you leave, I need another site to follow! It's not easy following Atlanta when Toronto is in your backyard, but the Thrashers rock! Your site, humour, pictures and comments will be missed if you decide to stop blogging :(
I agree with Randy. Often we all sit right in a line a few seats apart, yet our shots are slightly different, it's the perspective that you provide that sets it apart from the dozens of Thrashers blogs, given the very limited set of tools that are provided to create those. I, myself, have praised yours, both verbally and in writing, to tons of people, suggesting that they follow you and even called you the "Blog Goddess Extraordinaire". So, you are greatly appreciated by many followers. Time to do that New Years edition that you were planning! :-) Can't wait to see it!
Thank you for the compliments. If I do decide to stop, it will be after the season at the very soonest, I'd finish the season out. I would leave the blog up as well and make sure to leave a good list of blogs to follow.
New Years edition? I don't remember that.
Are there any features you'd like to see more of? Away game recaps? I usually try to do mostly posts for topics I have pictures of. Just trying to think of ways to keep it "fresh."
Remember the other day when you were asking me about the pictures I got of your signs? And, you went ahead and posted your Blues edition and said you'd just add that picture to a New Years edition you were thinking about doing. That's what I'm looking forward to. :-) For me, its the total package that you provide.
No, I was talking about an end of the season post with my signs from the season.
Ah, gotcha. I totally misunderstood and thought you meant "2010 year end". You have so many great signs, that will be an awesome edition.
Ok look you cant walk away. I know its hard without me at the games and you and randy miss me but dont let that bring you down. we love your blog. what would all the players talk about during the game interviews ? i love the game recaps but the new angle to your blog i love is the people of blueland ! it is set to be a classic !
