Thrashers Prospect Camp: Day 2
Yesterday was just about as good as it could get for me barring waking up much skinnier, 10 years younger or having a winning lottery ticket. Yesterday was the second day of Thrashers Prospect Camp and just down the road....Scrapbook Expo! Woohoo! I got to see my hockey friends and my scrapbooking buddies all on the same day. Then I went home and had 6 episodes of my imaginary friends (NCIS) recorded. What a day!
Day two seemed to start off a little better for the guys. Maybe nerves and cobwebs got shaken off. Today was much more physical, too. Baby Dan (Chris) Kamal got ran. There were a few hits, too. There was a MONSTER collision on the ice between Mike Forney and Spencer Anderson.
Kane participating in drills.
Drills...
and more drills.
Evander definitely seemed more comfortable on the ice today. The kid is fast and scored a nice goal on a 3 on 1.
Of course my favorite at camp.....Klingy (Carl Klingberg for those that don't know my ridiculous nickname for him)
Klingy practicing his big boy NHL pose.
Serge and I are a big fan of Jordan Samuels-Thomas, too. He's a good Connecticut boy like Serge. Also, Serge coached youth hockey at the rink Jordan played at. Serge coached a level below Jordan.
Pasqale NEVER lifts his mask up. I'm beginning to think it's not even him. I've yet to see his face.
Losers skate...they lost their little game.

Kane and some buddies from team white getting ready for more drills.
Evander
Kane playing a little 3 on 3. A few minutes later he scored an awesome goal.

Jordan, Klingy and team blue
You always know when Cody Sol is on the ice. He's huge. Team Blue is bigger (height) than Team White, but Cody still towers over most. He seems to be able to use his size pretty well. He looks comfortable on his skates and his size didn't seem to slow him down.
Trying to score on Carozzi.
Nice glove save, Carozzi!
STOP!.......Klingy time.
Goalie Pile up!

You are in the prospect camp day two photo album. Yay!
Thanks for the heads up! I see my big fat head down there on the bleachers lol.
That really sucks that you missed the blogger thing. Everyone thrasher-related kept saying they might do more blogger stuff this year - I'll be sure to hit you with an email when they announce it!
Thanks so much, aaron! I signed up with twitter just so I could follow Ben on twitter. Can't miss that kind of opportunity again :)
