Gwinnett Gladiators vs Cincinnati Cyclones...view from the Hater Seats
I call them the hater seats because they remind me of that expression "Hate the player, not the game." Well with these seats we were watching the players and not the game. It was fun for a change, wouldn't want to sit there all the time though. Marisa and I headed out to the Gwinnett Arena to watch the Gladiators!
For added fun, Marisa and I were the only people in this row. That's not creepy or anything, 2 chicks sitting alone inches behind the bench.
Danny Taylor stretching out.
I call Danny Taylor "Hollywood" for obvious reasons, this former property of the Kings has the hills of Hollywood on his mask.
What can Brown do for you? I've got some ideas.
Cyclone goalie Robert Mayer wondering who those 2 creepy chicks behind the bench are.
The Glads lining up to take some shots.
Woo Hoo! My Mi'kmaq, Chad Denny!
Our view of the game wasn't very good. We saw a lot of padded butts. Pictures were limited.
Face off.
Maximus came over to see the group of kids who sang the National Anthem and give them some goodies. They went nuts screaming and pulling on him. Run Maximums, run!
Well damn, Hollywood let one in. That's alright, we'll get it back.
Forney in the box.
Goalie Dave Brown had the night off. Marisa and I both were stealing glances at him as he is quite easy on the eyes. He busted us a few times. He kept posing like this talking to one of the equipment guys. I wanted to get a picture like this with my camera, but didn't want to be uber-creepy. Marisa got one with her phone.
Forney heading for the bench.
Score! Got a good shot.
Glads taking some action to Mayer
Down in front! Puck in play!
Another time trying to sneak a picture of Brown.
Woo Hoo, Glads win!
Glads saluting the fans!
Marisa was in luck, her favorite Gladiator, Michael Forney, was signing autographs after the game. She was able to get her picture with him. Ah to be that young and adorable again. I'm a bitter jaded old woman!
Once again a great time was had out in Duluth. Glads win, Marisa got her picture with Forney and I discovered that the arena sells fried dill pickle chips. Life doesn't get any better.
