Am I Just Another Crazy?
Of course you could just immediately answer "yes" but let me ramble a while.
I love to take pictures. I am a scrapbooker, too so I take LOTS of pictures. I have never taken a class or anything. In fact, this marks the 2nd off season where I swore I would take a photo class during the summer but have not. I MUST do that.
I started this blog because of photos. I actually started this blog so my hockey loving scrapbooking buddies on another website could see my hockey pictures. I had been posting them on the scrapbooking site, but my photobucket account was getting full. Never thought you'd be reading a blog started for scrapbookers, huh? I didn't mention it to my hockey buddies because I didn't think anyone would take it seriously. I don't know if people take it "seriously" now, but they do seem to enjoy it.
I take a lot of flack from my family about how many pictures I take. I took my sister to Disney World last December as a gift for her graduation from college (God I miss having a job). I got comments all the time. "How many pictures are you going to take?" "Don't you have a picture of that already?" Yeah, but guess who comes begging for pictures when they need some. Did I need 20 pictures of the castle? OF COURSE!
If I don't take 15 pictures of this lion, I might miss this shot!
And my nephews! You know how fast babies are. My sister comments on how many pics I take of my nephews, but once again, when someone needs pictures, who do they come and ask? Was this just an excuse to post a picture of my ridiculously cute nephew? Absolutely! Look at those eyes.
So this is what the guys usual see from me. I never really thought about it until recently. I've been exposed to a lot of crazy shit recently since I've been going to the Ice Rink every day for Training Camp. Most of the people there are just great fans who are excited at the opportunity to get up close to the action. Others are not. I won't describe any craziness I've witnessed or been privy too because I don't want to insult anyone in case someone knows them. We all know there are some interesting folks sometimes at the game and practices. I've started wondering am I just another face in the sea of crazy? Do they know I'm one of the "good ones?"
So I'm stewing that over and "Paparazzi" came on the radio. I have a nasty pop music habit lately, but don't really like that song, but I actually listened to the lyrics.
I'm your biggest fan
I'll follow you until you love me, papa-paparazzi
baby, there's no other superstar
you know that I'll be your papa-paparazzi
promise I'll be kind, but I won't stop until that boy is mine
baby you'll be famous, chase you down until you love me
papa-paparazzi
we are the crowd, we're c-coming out
got my flash on it's true, need that picture of you
Is this how the guys see me and my camera?
What do you think, Moose?
One of my hockey buddies, Kerry Outen (he's one of the good ones, guys!) asked me once how I got so many pictures of the guys with them looking at me. I told him I didn't know. I usually have signs. Maybe it's the camera they notice. It's not THAT big. Now I'm wondering, what if they think I'm nuts?
Stuie: That chick is here all the time.
Hainsey: Yeah and she takes dozens of pictures of us.
Stuie: What could she be doing with them?
Hainsey: I'm kind of scared to know. I hear she has a blog.
Stuie: Oh well if she has a blog, that means she's cool.
Hainsey: Nah, any hack can get a blog.
I started going through my pictures and discovered that yeah, a lot of the guys WERE looking right at me.
I think Anssi just liked his "Welcome to Atlanta poster." Yeah, that's it.
Ex: Don't look guys, that camera chick is right behind us.
Army: Too late, I looked.
I take a ton of pics during warm ups. Is that weird? Other people take pictures. Is it creepy?
Hmmmm, I don't want Thor to answer that question.
Ilya wondering what the hell I'm doing.
Ex looks a little concerned.
I've got so many pictures of Hainsey looking at me I finally had to just narrow it down and pick one picture.
Ilya STILL wondering what the hell I'm up to.
It's not limited to the Thrashers either. I've got pictures of guys from other teams looking at me.
McKenna from Tampa Bay wondering what my deal is.
Mike Green wondering how many pictures I'm going to take.
One night I'm playing my newly acquired Guitar Hero 5 and drumming (yeah, I'm bad ass like that...on easy) to Blondie's "One Way Or Another." Who knew that song was so creepy??
I'll walk down the mall
Stand over by the wall
Where I can see it all
Find out who ya call
I will drive past your house
And if the lights are all down
I'll see who's around
And if the lights are all out
I'll follow your bus downtown
See who's hanging out
Holy crap that is so not me! I'm one of the "good ones!" I know Mr. Fred gets it. Mr. Fred has a super lens though and can sit far back whereas I have to get close. I don't want to drive past your house or any of that crap, I just want to take some pictures and put them on my crappy blog. I come in peace!

Thrashers guys....if you're reading, or someone relays this post to you....I promise. She's totally innocent. :-)
Some of the others, I'm not so sure about. Steer clear. This one...she's golden :-)
Awesome pics, girl!
You're a goddess. I don't care what the hockey boys think.
Meanwhile... why didn't anyone tell me McKenna was so freaking hot?
Oh yeah, McKenna is totally smoking hot. I put him in my second hot goalie video.
Your pictures look great! The community development crew of the Thrashers just started a Twitter and Facebook page. Fans are able to share photos on the Facebook page if you're interested.

Let's do the math. If you're crazy for taking pictures, then I'm crazy for taking pictures. And so is Fred, cause he does it too. They say 1 in 4 people are crazy. Well, that's three of us that are doing the same thing, so the crazy one is definitely someone else. :)
