The Boys Are Back In Town

Well, some of them are. I headed up to Duluth this morning and checked out some preseason skate action. Thrashers on the ice: Moose, Oystrick, Enstrom, Bogosian, Kane, White, Little, Boulton, Thorburn, Antropov, Grant Lewis, and Mahachek. Non-Thrashers Chris "Baby Dan" Kamal was there as well as pseudo/former Thrasher Erik Perrin. Actually Perrin wasn't on the ice when I got there, but it appeared he had been previously.


It was soooo good to see the guys playing. I was excited to see Antropov for the first time. He's a big boy. He left the ice kind of early and one of his teammates, not sure who it was yelled a more obscene version of the word "sissy" at him. Chuckles all around.


I didn't get many pictures, I just enjoyed watching. Maybe I'll get more next time.

Oh Moose. How I've missed you. This is my first Moose sighting of the season. Can we discuss that new mask? For those that don't know, it's a Sponge Bob Moose. What could be on the other side? Well duh, Patrick Moose of course *shudder* I'm hoping it's a preseason mask he had done for his girls. The mask is gorgeous and well done (as usual), but just not very "fierce." I mean Songe Bob Moose Pants doesn't strike fear in the hearts of opponents as it should. How about a vampire Moose? Vamps are hot right now. A super hero Moose. Military Moose.

Baby Dan: Ah, we have 2 fans here
Moose: Yeah, that's my girl. Not sure why she's here on a weekday.
Baby Dan: She was here every day for prospect camp.
Oystrick: I heard she got laid off.
Moose: Damn, that sucks. I hope she can still come to the games, she makes great signs.
Baby Dan: She'll be at training camp every day.
Moose: Shit.
Oystrick: I heard she didn't like your mask.
Moose: Shut up.

Awww, the babies are talking, how cute. What could Bogo and Kane be talking about?
Kane: So how is playing in Atlanta.
Bogo: It's good. The city is fun and the fans rock.
Kane: What about that chick? She's kind of cute, but creepy. She was at training camp every day.
Bogo: Nah, she's cool. She just takes a bunch of pictures. She makes pretty cool signs, too.
Kane: Cool.


There were other reasons I was at the ice rink in Duluth. As soon as "the powers that be" say it's okay, I'll have some fun photo treats for the blog.
