Happy Thanksgiving!
This year has been a difficult one. I lost my job in June. It wasn't just a job for me. I moved from Mobile, Alabama 8 years ago for this job. When I moved here I only knew one person. This job was a huge part of my life and that's how I met all of my friends for the longest time.
After I got thrown out the front door dragging my box of shit with me, I was pretty sad. I had a lot of free time on my hands and I turned it on this blog. I am very thankful to everyone that reads this blog and especially those who leave comments. Those that come up to me in the arena and tell me you like it, it quite honestly makes my night. The thought that anyone would read, let alone enjoy this little blog blows me away and I'm extremely thankful. It has been a great way to get my mind off of my problems for the last few months.
I'm thankful for hockey in general for the same reason. Getting lost in the games have really helped. Having great friends to hang out with at the games has been fabulous.
My original hockey buddy and I have Shauna have so much fun at games and hopefully will be able to have tons of fun in the future.
I've met so many new friends at the game. I was worried about having to go to games alone, but with my friends there, I'm never really alone. Sorry to all the friends I didn't put your picture up. I know I have pics with you but quite honestly...this is a fabulous picture of me :p
And of course I'm thankful for my husband. Though he didn't expose me to hockey, he is the one who really fostered my love and helped understand the game and become obsessed. And he's a fantastic cook! Love you!
Enough mush! Drop the puck. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you!! I enjoy your blog and check it at least 4 times a day to see if you have anything new. It was great in Finland to help me keep up and now that i'm out of town until January it is helping me deal the fact that I'm in the country and still can't watch my thrashers. Hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving.
Thank you so much for the kind words! When will you be back in town? I'd love to meet you.
I'm happy for you, but I can beat you in one regard: I've been out of work for over SEVEN years and had to move BACK to Alabama...
OMG Wayne, what do you do (did) for a living?? That's terrible.
I'm like Brittany, I check several times a day to see if you've posted anything, and I stand at warm ups getting the same pictures you do, lol. I tell everybody all the time about the cool friend I have who writes this great hockey blog that they just have to see.
I'm honored to know you, to be your friend AND hockey buddy, and I wish the very best and I know that it will come! You have earned it.
